Our
first CBMW walk for a few weeks was Peter’s annual Tarbena walk and meal
The walk started from the village centre and up to the
winding path to the castle
As always Peter was ready with a helping hand when necessary
Thanks to David for this one for the photo albumn
Tarbena is a small village in the middle of the mountains,
and the view from the castle is pretty impressive
There is not much of the castle left, but at least there is
a large flat area to have a short break
From the castle we took a long loop on pretty good paths
The weather was pretty overcast and not much sun, but pretty
well ideal for walking
No picnic lunch on this walk, but we did have a particularly
attractive spot for our banana stop
Then it was back to the village for a three course menu del
dia, including wine and coffee to finish, all for a very reasonable 10 euro per
head.
