20 May 2013 – Javea Port

It was an even smaller group than expected this week.   Peter is in Dublin for the rugby, and Tom is at home with a sore neck!
The weather was also below par, with no sign of the sun and a forecast of showers by 2pm.   However although we saw plenty of rain clouds over Bernia, we remained dry all day
The recent mixture of sun and showers has brought out the flowers, and Mike was quick to take advantage.
Lunch was, as always,  at the tower overlooking Denia
Despite the clouds it was very clear, and we had good views of the Baleraic Islands.

It looks like Jackie has found something interesting in the undergrowth, though I never did find out what it was.

We saw these four sea birds at Javea port as we started the walk at 10am, and they were still there when we returned at 4pm.

Monday 27 May 2013

Our last walk before the summer break will be from Gata.   Meet in the car park near the post office at 10am.   The exact route will depend on the weather.
