30 September 2013 – Javea to Portixol

Warm and sunny for our first Monday Group walk after the summer break

Eleven of us, including Wendy’s visitor Martin,  met at the car park in Javea.   All very pleased to be walking again after our long summer break.

 

We broke with tradition by starting the walk at the car park, and walking along the beach

The half hour walk along the beach is an easy introduction, before we start climbing

 

There is a nice mixture of coastal and hill scenery on this walk

We returned along the rocky shoreline, fortunately not too warm as this part can be heavy going

Thanks to Mike for taking the photographs.   In the past we have forgotten our picnic lunch, and even our walking shoes, but never the camera.   Fortunately Mike had not forgotten his.
